Long Shot
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
About
Long Shot is an early prototype of a turn-based strategy artillery game set in space, inspired by classics of the genre, such as Worms, but with a twist of Newtonian gravity.
Featuring:
- Explosions and destructible terrain
- Slingshot maneuvers
- Space lasers
Basic Instructions
In each turn, a player can first move around, then fire a weapon, and then retreat for a short while. The last surviving tank wins the game.
Some weapons (such as the "Targeting Computer") are modifiers for the next shot and do not end the turn.
Currently, all players need to be human, but AI enemies are planned eventually.

Network Multiplayer (Experimental)
This demo contains a highly experimental network multiplayer mode. Joining games is currently only possible by directly entering the IP and port. It uses the TCP protocol and the port is hard-coded to 8972. All this is subject to change.
